More than 10-M COVID-19 vaccines to arrive this month

More than 10 million COVID-19 vaccine doses are expected to arrive this month, vaccine czar Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr. said at the arrival of one million Coronavac vaccines yesterday morning (June 6) at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

Galvez said among the vaccines scheduled to arrive this month are 5.5 million doses of Coronavac (this figure includes the one million doses that arrived yesterday), more than 2.28 million doses of Pfizer, more than 2 million of AstraZeneca, 250,000 of Moderna, and 100,000 of Sputnik V.

According to the National Task Force Against COVID-19, another one million doses are set to arrive on June 10, while the remaining 3.5 million will arrive later this month.

Galvez added that he is glad because the arrival of vaccines to the country from the Covax facility has become continuous. – PTV News/PG-jlo
