OHCC receives more calls from areas with high number of COVID-19 cases

The One Hospital Command Center (OHCC) has recorded a rise in the number of calls they received a few days prior to the imposition of enhanced community quarantine in the National Capital Region.

Department of Health (DOH) Undersecretary Leopoldo Vega said most of the calls they received came from Metro Manila, Calabarzon, and Central Luzon, where an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases was logged.

He added that an average of 175 calls were received over the past two weeks, compared to the previous average of 90 calls.

The OHCC hotlines are open 24/7 to respond to patients in need of health facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In its inauguration as the National Patient Navigation and Referral Center on July 12, OHCC said it is set to provide a link to patients and different health facilities to ensure that the appropriate medical response is given to individuals in need. – Report from PTV News / CF – jlo
