Gov’t offices to remain fully-operational during ECQ

Government offices will remain fully-operational during the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), according to Memorandum Circular No. 87 signed on Tuesday (August 3).

The Office of the President said in a memorandum that the on-site capacity to be observed by government agencies and instrumentalities in the National Capital Region (NCR) for the period of August 6 to 20 should be at least 20%.

The rest will be on work-from-home set-up.

However, if the government agency is tasked to ensure border control, responds to health and emergency situations, or provides important basic services, these offices are allowed to work at full capacity.

The memorandum said that before August 6, heads of each agency in NCR shall submit to the head of the department exercising control or supervision over it, or to which it is attached, the specific percentage of the agency’s skeletal workforce, together with the arrangements to ensure continuing operation of the agency. – Report from Mela Lesmoras / CF – rir
