By Pearl Gumapos

The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday (Aug. 28) has recorded a total of 19,441 cases of COVID-19 in the country.

This is the highest number of COVID-19 cases recorded so far.

Some 19,191 are newly recovered and 167 have died.

The total number of cases in the country is now at 1,935,700. Around 6.4% or 142,679 are active cases, 90.9% or 1,760,013 have recovered, and 1.71% or 33,008 have died.

– rir
