LTO opens new CSR facility for new vehicle registrations

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) 7 on Tuesday, Sept. 21, opened its new Certificate of Stock Reported (CSR) Facility in Cebu City to address the delay in the registration of new vehicles from the dealers and manufacturers.

LTO 7 Regional Director Victor Emmanuel Caindec said during the inauguration of the facility on Tuesday (Sept. 21) that the facility will fast-track the registration process of new vehicles in the region.

“Let’s consider this the office that issues the birth certificate of a brand new vehicle. In the past we struggled with accusations that we are very inefficient, at maraming kaming backlog with the New Registrations,” Caindec said.

CSR is one of the mandatory requirements for the initial registration of motor vehicles and motorcycles in LTO offices.

Every month, at least 15,000 new registered vehicles are being recorded from the LTO New Registration Unit.

Aside from Cebu City, LTO Mandaue City has built its own CSR Facility.

Registration per every unit costs P209. – Report from John Aroa (PTV Cebu), LTO 7 / CF – bny
