OCTA: NCR, Isabela, Cagayan record highest new cases for Nov. 20

The National Capital Region (NCR), Isabela, and Cagayan have recorded the highest number of new COVID-19 cases on Saturday (Nov. 20), data from OCTA Research Group showed.

Out of the 1,474 new cases, 290 are from Metro Manila, 184 are from Isabela, and 107 are from Cagayan.

For cities and municipalities, Marikina has the highest count at 56 new cases, followed by Quezon City with 46 confirmed cases, and Baguio City with 42.

OCTA said the numbers remain low, but newly reported deaths reached 205.

As of Nov. 21, the Philippines has 2,826,410 COVID-19 cases, 2,758,235 recoveries, and 47,074 deaths. This brings the active case tally to 21,101.

The Department of Health (DOH) said nationwide active cases may reach 7,000 to 20,000 by mid-December, depending on the mobility, health protocol compliance, and the detection to isolation period for cases. (PTV)/AG- bny
