Over 100 BP2 beneficiaries set to return home

More than 100 individuals will soon be brought home to their home provinces under the continuous implementation of the Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa program of the government.

Of the new beneficiaries, 70 are bound to Zamboanga del Norte, 24 to Iloilo, 11 in Ilocos Sur, and 19 in La Union. They underwent swab testing, documentation, and orientation on Monday (Dec. 6).

The National Housing Authority (NHA) said thousands have already applied in their portal for the program, prompting various government agencies to work double time to bring more beneficiaries home by Christmas time.

Each individual or family beneficiary will be given cash assistance through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and livelihood assistance through the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

They may also avail livelihood and business packages through the Department of Trade and Industry.

Those who want to avail of assistance may register at balikprobinsya.ph website, while inquiries may be directed to BP2 hotlines (02) 8365 7078, 0919 069 2530, 0919 065 7896, or through a text message to 0953 173 2430, 0919 069 2531, or via www.facebook.com/balikprobinsya.ph, and [email protected]. – Report from Louisa Erispe/AG-rir
