Extended NVD II inoculates 3.7-M Filipinos

The total number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered nationwide during the second round of the Bayanihan Bakunahan campaign has reached more than 3.7 million, the National Vaccination Operations Center (NVOC) said on Tuesday (Dec. 21).

According to NVOC Chairperson Myrna Cabotaje during the Laging Handa public briefing, the number of doses administered yesterday (Dec. 20) reached more than one million.

Majority of the jabs administered were second doses.

Meanwhile, when it comes to sectors, the most that were vaccinated were 12 to 17 year old minors.

Up to nine million doses of the Janssen vaccines are being prepared to be administered in order for local government units to quickly reach the target of 54 million fully vaccinated Filipinos by the end of the year.

As of today, 44.2 million have already been fully vaccinated nationwide. – Report from Mark Fetalco/PG-rir
