FDA currently working on e-pharmacy guidelines

By Pearl Gumapos

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Wednesday (Feb. 9) said that they are currently discussing the possible accreditation of online pharmacies.

They stated that while the current policy still stands, they are on the talks about “e-pharmacy.”

Pero makakaasa kayo ng under discussion ito ng FDA,” FDA Office-in-Charge Director Oscar Gutierrez said during the Laging Handa public briefing.

Meanwhile, Gutierrez then warned the public about sellers selling non-FDA-authorized medicine.

He said that they have already caught 50 sari-sari stores that were selling counterfeit medicine.
