Duterte slams red tape, calls on offices to improve service

President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday (April 7) slammed anew the red tape in government processes as he called on offices to “to improve the service of government.”

During the groundbreaking ceremony of the overseas Filipino worker (OFW) Center in Las Piñas, Duterte noted that the journey of migrant workers begins with the processing of papers.

“Ang ayaw ko kasi ‘yung patagalan… . Iyong masakit sa akin ‘yung saansaan ituro… Alam mo dito sa Maynila, traffic alone, even with the advent of this elevated highways, it’s not enough really to make a great impact on the lives of the people of Manila and of the Philippines kaya kulang pa rin,” he said.

“Ang migrant workers hindi puwede mag-ano, walang pera ‘yan. And it is very tiring because they have no private cars, they have to travel public conveyances, and then they cannot complete the papers pabalik-balik. Iyan ang ayaw ko, ‘yang pabalik-balik,” he added.

Duterte recalled providing more computers to government agencies for their services and warned those engaged in red tape that he will bring them with him when he leaves the government. AG-ngs
