Eid’l Fitr holiday on Tuesday, May 3

Eid’l Fitr or the Feast of Breaking the Fast will be declared as a national holiday on Tuesday, May 3, the Malacañang announced Sunday night, May 1.

On Sunday, the Bangsamoro Darul Ifta said Eid’l Fitr will be on Monday, May 2.

A moon sighting was performed on Sunday by groups assigned by the Grand Mufti Abuhuraira A. Udasan where mooncresent were sighted resulting in the announcement. VC/gb
