MANILA – Just like in other partial and unofficial counting, Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Sara Duterte are the runaway leaders in the presidential and vice presidential derby of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) on Tuesday, May 10,  afternoon.

Marcos has already garnered 30,975,596 votes or 58% of about 67.5 million registered voters, followed by Vice President Leni Robredo at a far 14,764,282, or 28.01% of voters.

His running mate, Sara Duterte, leads with 31,411,919, or 61.26% of the total number of voters ,while Robredo’s partner, Senator Francis Pangilinan, has 9,194,995 votes or 17.93%.

Based on the latest PPCRV-Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas Election 2022 Count, votes from 105,416 clustered precincts or 97.8% of the total 107,785 have been counted as of 3:02 p.m.

The PPCRV said more Election Returns are expected to arrive from Caloocan, Malabon, Sorsogon, Cavite, Rizal, Pasig, Batangas, Negros Occidental, Cebu, Iloilo, and Cagayan de Oro City.

PPCRV legal affairs director, lawyer Vann Dela Cruz, said Monday’s elections are “generally peaceful”.

He confirmed in a statement that they received reports about malfunctioning vote counting machines but their watchers told them the issues were immediately resolved and the voting process continued.

PPCRV, established in 1991, is a national parish-based movement that works for “clean, honest, accurate, meaningful, and peaceful elections”. (PNA)
