Team PH all set for SEA Games day 5

Almost 14 sports will be played Tuesday, May 17, as the action continues on the fifth day of the 31st Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Lois Kaye Go and Rianne Mikhaela will take on top seed Thailand for the women’s team event of golf.

The Philippine sepak takraw squad will try to overcome their bronze medal finish in the 2019 Manila SEA Games for the men’s ragu category against Myanmar.

The tennis squad led by Alex Eala will bounce back to grab a gold in the women’s singles against Laos, in men’s doubles versus Cambodia, and in the mixed doubles contrast with Malaysia following a bronze placement after falling to Thailand in the women’s tennis team event quarterfinals.

Gilas Pilipinas will try to protect their 2019 Manila SEA Games crown in the 5×5 men’s basketball preliminary round versus Cambodia.

Among the sports the Philippines will play on Tuesday are archery, bowling, billiards sports and seven categories in athletics including women’s long jump heptathlon, women’s 400-meter hurdles, men’s 400-meter hurdles, women’s javelin throw heptathlon, men’s triple jump, men’s discus throw, women’s 800-meter heptathlon. – ag
