The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) announced on Tuesday, May 31, that 2,000 students qualified for admission as first year students for Academic Year 2022-2023.

PLM President Emmanuel Leyco congratulated the new batch of PLM students.

“On behalf of the PLM administration, we are excited to welcome our newest batch of PLMayers,” Leyco said.

Despite the lower student admission rate in anticipation of face-to-face classes, the institution vowed to continue providing quality education to deserving students of Manila.

“The number of admitted students is lower compared to previous years as we now anticipate the return of face-to-face classes at a wider scale. We remain steadfast in our commitment to providing quality accessible education to the youth of the City of Manila, as well as to deserving students in the country,” he said.

More than 300 applicants still have the chance to enter PLM after being placed on the waiting list.

All prospective students must confirm their intention to enroll with the university starting May 31 to June 8, 2022. Failure to do so will lead to forfeiture of their slot.

Meanwhile, the waitlisted applicants will be informed of available slots, and are given June 8 to 15 to confirm their interest to enroll. – ag
