Presidential Communication Secretary and Acting Presidential Spokesperson Secretary Martin Andanar reminded the residents on Sunday, June 5, to be vigilant and cooperate with the local authorities following the eruption of Mount Bulusan.

Andanar said all government agencies are on full alert after Alert Level 1 has been raised by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology in Mount Bulusan.

He reminded residents nearby the volcano to be vigilant and to monitor the development of the volcano.

“All concerned agencies are on standby 24/7 after Alert Level 1 has been raised. We remind the public, particularly the residents of surrounding areas, to be vigilant, monitor any development regarding the volcano’s condition and cooperate with local authorities,” Andanar said.

“The Executive is closely monitoring the condition of the Bulusan Volcano after a phreatic eruption occurred this morning, June 5, 2022,” he added. – gb
