The 27th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 27) will be hosted by Egypt in November to be held in Sharm el-Sheikh.

According to Marcos Jr.’s camp, the president-elect is “seriously considering attending the Conference if his schedule would allow it.”

The Conference is expected to discuss the most effective response to the climate change crisis and how nations will begin putting the Paris Agreement into practice at home through legislation, policies, and programs implementation.

Aside from the invitation, the Egypt ambassador also showed their interest to strengthen their relationship with the country through agriculture and tourism, as well as climate change response. – gb
