By Katrina Gracia Consebido

The family of Filipino lawyer Jan Albert Laylo said on Monday, June 20, that they will donate his organs following his death in a fatal random shooting incident on Sunday, June 19, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

In a Twitter thread, John Albert’s sister said that his brother “will do anything in his power to help”, and as his final mission, “he will be donating his organs to those who need it.”

She announced the passing of his brother while asking the public to keep on praying for their family.

“Unfortunately, my brother has passed. Once again, I am asking you to keep my family in your prayers,” Laylo said.

Laylo said that his brother’s “demise is tragic” and no one will be able to justify the gruesome tragedy he went through.

She said that she will “find peace” knowing a piece of his brother is “alive and beating.”
