Abra quake damage to infrastructure reaches P1.2-B

The damage to infrastructure due to the 7.0-magnitude quake that rocked Northern Luzon on July 27 has reached P1.2 billion, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

In its latest situational report, NDRRMC said the estimated cost of damage to infrastructure was incurred in Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Cordillera Administrative Region, and National Capital Region.

Meanwhile, the major tremor also affected 105,241 families or a total of 404,370 individuals.

The verified number of deaths due to the quake remained at 10, while 394 persons were reported hurt.

As of Tuesday afternoon, 2,299 aftershocks were recorded, ranging from magnitudes 1.4 to 5.1. –ag
