QC PWDs to get free meds for mental wellness

The Quezon City local government unit (LGU) will provide free maintenance medicines to all persons with disabilities (PWDs) who are suffering from mental health conditions.

According to the city LGU, the patient need only to present their prescription to their respective health centers to receive their medicines.

The listed medicines for availing are:

  • Clozapine 100 milligrams (mg) tablets
  • Biperiden 2 mg tablets
  • Chlorpromazine 100 mg tablets
  • Lithium Carbonate 450 mg tablets
  • Sertraline 50 mg tablets
  • Escitalopram Oxalate 10 mg tablets
  • Quetiapine 200 mg tablets
  • Valproic acid tablets 

The Quezon City General Hospital Psychiatry Department will also offer free medical consultation. –gb
