Netizens describe modern-day heroes: ‘Ordinary people doing extraordinary things, truth tellers’

Heroes, unlike what we often imagine as those who don cape and mask, are ordinary people– who just do extraordinary things.

As the country commemorates National Heroes’ Day, PTV DMIS asked netizens how they would describe their modern-day heroes.

Another one cited those who have the courage to speak of the truth.

Kung kinakailangan pumuna at [need] magsalita kung may nakikitang mali at pang-aabuso,” another one said.

The National Heroes’ Day is celebrated annually every last Monday in August. It is the day to honor the bravery of all Filipino heroes who struggled for the nation’s freedom, including those who vanished into anonymity.
