A total of 1,500 roses were distributed to commuters in the National Capital Region (NCR) on Tuesday, Feb. 14, as part of the celebration of Valentine’s Day.

This is part of the Valentine’s Special of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) Railways Sector, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX).

The roses were distributed in Light Rail Transit (LRT)-2 Antipolo Station, Metro Rail Transit (MRT)-3 Shaw Boulevard Station, Philippine National Railways (PNR) Tutuban Station, and PITX Entrance #2.

“Tayo ay nagpapasalamat sa Department of Transportation at Philippine Coast Guard sa mga ganitong uri ng inisiyatibo na makapagbibibay ng kasiyahan sa ating mga pasahero,” MRT-3 General Manager Federico Canar Jr. said.

Around 80 personnel of the PCG were deployed for the roses distribution from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

The PCG deployed 80 personnel, including members of the PCG Combo, to assist the DOTr Railways Sector and the PITX in entertaining the commuters and giving 250 roses in each location from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.  – gb
