An art visitor accidentally smashed Jeff Koon’s “balloon dog” sculpture that costs $42,000 or approximately P2.3 million at an art fair in Miami, United States.

The blue porcelain sculpture, standing about 16 inches tall and 19 inches long, was perched on a transparent pedestal.

Stephen Gamson, an American pop artist, said over Instagram that the incident happened at the opening for Art Wynwood.

“I was at the VIP art opening for Art Wynwood. As I was looking at the art, I pointed to a Jeff Koons balloon dog sculpture. This woman knocked it over,” Gamson recalled.

“I actually witnessed the whole thing. It shattered into a thousand pieces. One of the most crazy things I’ve ever seen,” he added.
