DSWD’s humanitarian aid for Davao de Oro quake victims reach P53-M

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) provided P53,782,567.46 in humanitarian aid to Davao de Oro residents impacted by the series of earthquakes in the province, according to DSWD’s Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center.

As of March 16 evening, the available resources are estimated at P1,158,661,158.13, covering standby funds, quick reaction funds, and stockpile.

A total of 38,333 families or 135,233 individuals in 97 barangays were affected.

A 5.3 magnitude earthquake jolted New Bataan, Davao de Oro on March 6, and was followed by a strong 5.9 magnitude quake on March 7.
