Fair weather seen across PH Tuesday

Fair weather continues to prevail over most parts of the country, with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms, the weather bureau said Tuesday.

Batanes and Babuyan Islands will experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line.
In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said flash floods or landslides are possible in these areas due to moderate to heavy rains.

PAGASA forecaster Samuel Duran said no tropical cyclone was monitored and the rest of the country may only experience localized thunderstorms.

He cautioned the public against high temperature in many parts of the country.

“You may notice that we continue to experience high temperature. Avoid direct sunlight,” he said.

Duran also advised to minimize going outdoors or exposure to direct sunlight to avoid heat cramps or heat exhaustion.

He also advised the wearing of light colored dresses.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas are forecast over extreme Northern Luzon.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas. (PNA)
