Warm weather, isolated rain showers to prevail across PH

By Ma. Cristina Arayata | Philippine News Agency

Generally warm weather with isolated rain showers will prevail over most parts of the country, the weather bureau said Tuesday, April 4.

Several areas in Mindanao are forecast to experience rains caused by the trough of a low pressure area (LPA) last tracked 1,970 kilometers east of Mindanao outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

“This LPA is different from the one we were monitoring yesterday as the latter already dissipated,” said Obet Badrina of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

He said the new LPA has no direct effect, but its trough would cause scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Davao Region, Soccsksargen, and BARMM.

PAGASA said these areas could experience flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains.

The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies, and isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.

Severe thunderstorms could cause flash floods or landslides, PAGASA warned.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will continue to prevail across the archipelago. – cf
