A low-pressure area (LPA) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan on Saturday, May 6.

In its 4:00 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the LPA was spotted 115 kilometers west of Puerto Princesa City and may trigger flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains over the area.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms brought by the easterlies and the intertropical convergence zone.

Flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms may occur.

Light to moderate winds headed northeast to southeast will be felt over the Visayas and Mindanao, with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Luzon will experience light to moderate winds headed east to southeast, with similar coastal water conditions.

The temperature in Metro Manila will range from 26°C to 35°C; Laoag City, 26°C to 33°C; Tagaytay City, 22°C to 32°C; Puerto Princesa City, 25°C to 28°C; Metro Cebu, 26°C to 32°C; and Metro Davao, 25°C to 33°C.
