The easterlies affecting the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will cause generally fair and warm weather over these islands, the weather bureau said Thursday, May 11.
Luzon, on the other hand, may experience rains, but warm temperatures are likely to begin in the afternoon, said Benison Estareja of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
The temperature forecast in Tuguegarao City is between 25°C and 35°C; Laoag City, 26°C and 35°C; Kalayaan Group of Islands, 26°C and 34°C; Puerto Princesa City, 26°C and 33°C; Metro Davao, 25°C and 35°C; and Cagayan de Oro City, 24°C and 33°C.
The temperature forecast in Metro Manila is between 25°C and 33°C. The heat index or the temperature that a person feels in the area may be more or less 40°C.
Estareja said no low pressure area is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility until the weekend.
The public is advised against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms due to easterlies and localized thunderstorms.
The whole country will continue to experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said.
