Gov’t employees to receive mid-year bonus starting May 15

Government employees will receive their mid-year bonus for the year 2023 starting Monday, May 15, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) confirmed Sunday, May 14.

“I am happy to announce that our civil servants will be receiving their mid-year bonus this year, as provided in the agency-specific allocation under the 2023 General Appropriations Act or GAA,” DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman said.

The mid-year bonus is equivalent to employee’s one-month basic pay and shall be given to entitled personnel who have rendered at least a total or aggregate of four months from July 1 of the preceding year to May 15 of the current year.

Pangandaman reminded all government agencies and offices to ensure that the said bonus is provided immediately to their employees.

“So, we are reminding all government agencies and offices to ensure the timely release of bonuses to their employees or as stipulated in our existing rules and regulations, simula May 15 po ‘yan,” Pangandaman stressed. GB/Mark Fetalco – cf
