Magnitude 4.7-quake hits Isabela

A 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck Dinapigue, Isabela on Sunday afternoon, May 28, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.

The tectonic tremor had a depth of 18 kilometers (km) and hit 17 km east of Dinapigue at 2:43 p.m.

According to the Phivolcs bulletin, the following Instrumental Intensities were felt in:

  • Intensity III – Casiguran, Aurora
  • Intensity II – Maddela, Quirino; City of Santiago, Isabela
  • Intensity I – Baler, Aurora

Phivolcs said there are no damages and aftershocks expected. CF
