Rains may continue to dampen most parts of the country on Friday, June 23, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
In its 4:00 a.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and Caraga.
Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are expected in Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA Weather Specialist Daniel James Villamil said rains are likely to occur in Metro Manila on Friday afternoon until evening.
“Sa Metro Manila at sa nalalabing bahagi ng ating bansa, mas maaliwalas na panahon ang ating inaasahan–mainit at maalinsangan,” he noted.
“Mamayang hapon hanggang sa gabi, may tiyansa ng mga localized thunderstorms, ‘yung mga pulo-pulong pag-ulan na may pagkulog at pagkidlat,” Villamil added.
The temperature in Metro Manila will range from 25ºC to 34ºC; Baguio City, 17ºC to 25ºC; Laoag City, 25ºC to 33ºC; Tagaytay City, 23ºC to 31ºC; Puerto Princesa, 24ºC to 31ºC; Legazpi City, 24ºC to 31ºC; Metro Cebu, 26ºC to 32ºC; and Metro Davao, 25ºC to 32ºC.
