Ateneo leads PH universities in THE Asia Rankings

The Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) topped Philippine schools in Asia in the 2023 Times Higher Education (THE) rankings released Friday, June 23.

Ateneo made a leap from not reaching the eligibility criteria last year to rank 84.

“We are honored to enter Times Higher Education’s Asia rankings for the first time, especially being ranked in the top 100,” Fr. Roberto Yap, AdMU president, said.

AdMU was the first university in the Philippines to enter the top 100 of the prestigious rankings.

Some Philippine universities also managed to join on the list,

Ranking from 201-250 is the University of the Philippines and at 501-600 is De La Salle University. Mapua University entered the 600+ bracket.

Meanwhile, two Universities in China both obtained the top two spots.

A total of 669 universities from 31 countries were included in the ranking. -ag
