Filipino meatball bola-bola was included in Taste Atlas’ 50 Best Rated Meatballs in the World.
The food encyclopedia described the dish as “versatile Filipino meatballs.”
“These meatballs are used in tasty Filipino soups and are commonly served plain and enjoyed as a quick snack or a nutritious appetizer,” Taste Atlas wrote.
Bola-bola are usually made with ground beef or pork and incorporated with garlic, onions, eggs, soy sauce, and a variety of species.
They are usually accompanied by sweet and sour sauce, tomato sauce, or curry sauce.
Meanwhile, Italy’s polpette (ground beef or veal) was chosen as the best meatball in the world.
