Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) intensified its relief efforts for communities inundated by persistent southwest monsoon (habagat) rains, deploying water tankers, mobile hygiene facilities, and distributing potable water to evacuation centers across the West Zone.

In coordination with local government units (LGUs), Maynilad has delivered over 8,120 bottles of drinking water to key areas including Quezon City, Manila, Makati, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Caloocan, and Muntinlupa, as well as the cities of Bacoor and Imus in Cavite.

The relief includes 5,310 bottles of 4-liter containers, 2,760 bottles of 350ml bottles, and 50 bottles of 6-liter containers, as well as sacks of rice and other essential supplies for affected families.

To ensure continuous access to safe water, water tankers have been dispatched to several evacuation centers, with an additional 4,000 pieces of 4-liter bottles that were distributed in the coming days. The company was also on standby to deploy mobile water tankers to severely affected areas as needed.

To address sanitation needs, Maynilad is preparing to deploy its mobile shower facility to select evacuation centers. At the same time, its technical teams are conducting drainage de-clogging operations in flood-prone communities—complementing the regular maintenance of its wastewater facilities and sewer networks to help minimize overflows during heavy rains.

“Maynilad remains in close coordination with local and national government agencies to ensure timely support to affected families. We are committed to help our customers recover from this calamity,” said Maynilad Head of Corporate Affairs and Communication Marie Antonette De Ocampo. (PR)
