President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Wednesday announced that the passport of former Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Zaldy Co has been cancelled.

In a video statement posted on his Facebook page, the President said he has instructed the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) to coordinate with Philippine embassies abroad to ensure Co cannot evade the law.

Co and other officials from Sunwest Inc. and Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) were implicated in an anomalous flood control project in Oriental Mindoro.

Meanwhile, the President also disclosed that contractor Sarah Discaya—whose company St. Timothy Construction Corp. was also tagged in a ghost flood control project in Davao Occidental—has surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) pending a warrant of arrest.
