Probe into Nayong Pilipino execs’ infighting underway

MANILA — Malacanang would investigate the ongoing rift among officials of the Nayong Pilipino Foundation, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said on Wednesday.

Roque told Palace said reports about the alleged infighting between NPF chairperson Patricia Yvette Ocampo and NPF board member Maria Fema Duterte had already reached Malacanang.

“We are now investigating and studying that issue,” Roque said in a media interview over the phone.

He urged the persons involved to file complaint before the Office of the President.

“We encourage persons with information to come forward and file a complaint with the Office of the President,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said.

According to media reports, Ocampo had filed a cyber libel complaint against Duterte for accusing her through social media posts of corruption.

The NPF board member, a relative of President Rodrigo Duterte, has also accused other NPF officials of taking foreign junket.

Ocampo, however, clarified that the trip expenses to South Korea were shouldered by potential investors of the New Nayong Pilipino recreational park.

“Malacanang will look into all these allegations,” he assured. (Jelly Musico/PNA)
