Mark “Magnifico” Magsayo wielded over-powering fighting prowess in just a short work and made Nicaragua’s Daniel “El General” Diaz a human punching bag early in the first round of the ‘Pinoy Pride 41: New Generation Warriors’ at IEC Convention Center in Cebu City, Philippines.

Magsayo forced the stoppage through his series of merciless left hooks that sent Diaz lying down thrice in the canvass on 1:45 mark of the first round.

With this overwhelming victory, Magsayo improved to 17-0 with 13 wins coming via knockout, and remained unbeaten and retained his WBO International Featherweight championship.

Seems like short period of time were just enough for Filipino boxers to demolish their counterparts, as another boxer named Jeo “Santino” Santisima had himself a quick night, trouncing undefeated Goodluck Mrema of Tanzania in just one minute and 18 seconds of the first round on their featherweight match, the co-main event of Pinoy Pride 41.

“Prince” Albert Pagara, on the other hand, demolished Thailand’s Patomsith Pathompothong, through his slick left body blow to the ribs, that made the Thai fighter crumbling to mat in the fourth round.

Santisima and Pagara both improved to 14-2 with 12 KOs and 28-1 with 19 KOs respectively. | Tretch Melarpes – PTV
