2 killed in Nueva Ecija buy-bust op

CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija — Two alleged drug pushers were killed when a drug buy-bust reportedly ended in a brief firefight in Barangay Kapitan Pepe here Tuesday night.

Supt. Ponciano Zafra, city police chief, identified one of the fatalities as Dominador Balintag, a resident of Paco Roman St., Barangay Dimasalang this city, who he said is included in the drug watchlist.

Police is still trying to identify the other suspect.

Zafra said the suspects suddenly drew handguns and shot the policeman, who acted as shabu buyer. They missed though as cops retaliated in defense of themselves.

Recovered from the place of incident were the suspects’ tricycle, two revolvers and several sachets of suspected shabu. (PNA)
