Hot weather expected on election day

MANILA — Warm weather will prevail across the country as Filipinos cast their votes in Monday’s barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections.

State weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said a ridge of high pressure area (HPA) is affecting Northern Luzon while the easterlies are affecting the rest of the country.

Bicol Region will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms while Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains and thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds blowing from the east to southeast will prevail over Northern Luzon while the rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds blowing from the east to northeast.

Coastal waters will be from slight to moderate.
