MANILA— A low pressure area (LPA) will bring light to moderate rains in some parts of Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Wednesday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the state weather bureau said the LPA was last observed at 190 kilometers west of Clark, Pampanga.

The provinces of Mindoro and Palawan will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms caused by the trough of LPA.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms which may cause flooding or landslides in low-lying areas.

In its 6:45 a.m. advisory Wednesday, Pagasa said heavy rains with lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms are expected over the provinces of Bataan, Zambales, Cavite, Batangas and Quezon within the next two hours.

Northern and eastern sections of Luzon with moderate to rough winds from southwest to southeast will bring moderate to rough coastal waters.

Temperature in Metro Manila will range between 24-32 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City 24-34 degrees Celsius; Baguio City 16-23 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu 25-32 degrees Celsius and Metro Davao 24-32 degrees Celsius. (Lily Ramos/PNA)
