Quezon City anti-drug ops net 19 suspects

MANILA — Some 19 drug suspects have been arrested in recent anti-criminality operations conducted by the Quezon City Police District (QCPD).

In a report to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Monday, QCPD director Chief Supt. Joselito T. Esquivel Jr. said Talipapa Police Station (PS 3) operatives arrested Ruben Musico, 42; Rogelio Mercado, 35; Emil Cabang, 60; Jeffrey Fernandez, 28; Elmer San Juan, 54; Celso Herrera, 52 and Shirley Dioneda, 44, at Seminary Road, Project 8, Barangay Bahay Toro around 8:15 p.m. Sunday.

The suspects were caught sniffing shabu which was the subject of a complaint from a concerned citizen,

Seized were two heat-sealed and two unsealed sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia.

Meanwhile, PS 3 operatives in another operation arrested Oscar Hambre, 39; Christopher Eustaquio, 25 and Rhea Roxas, 38, along Pantranco, Himalayan Road, Barangay Pasong Tamo at about 11:45 p.m. Sunday.

The operation stemmed from the complaint of another concerned citizen.

In another operation also by PS 3 personnel, Cresencio Tismo, 42, was nabbed at about 9:15 p.m. Sunday at Ilalim ng Tulay, NDR, in Barangay Balon Bato.

Batasan Police Station (PS 6) operatives, meanwhile, arrested Sharon Agapor, 32; Rey Marcos, 30; J-Ar Delos Santos, 30; Isagani Julsus, 28; Alvin Maruhum, 19 and Javer Lala, 19, in an anti-drug operation along Samat St., Barangay Holy Spirit at around 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

The suspects were also caught sniffing shabu.

The operatives also conducted a buy-bust operation against a certain Jhun Gorospe though he eluded arrest while authorities seized 13 sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia, and the buy-bust money from his house.

Also, PS 6 personnel arrested in a buy-bust, Anthony Fahad Flor, 30, along Bataan Road, Garcia Heights, Barangay Holy Spirit around 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Confiscated from his possession were three sachets of shabu and the buy-bust money.

Meanwhile, Julian Emberzo, 56, was arrested by the Cubao Police Station (PS 7) operatives in a buy-bust operation beside Dehadista Sports Bar located at No. 19 West Point St., near corner Aurora Blvd., Barangay E. Rodriguez, Cubao at around 2:30 a.m. Monday.

Seized from Emberzo were six sachets of shabu and the buy-bust money.
