NLEX falls to Incheon

MANILA — NLEX struggled in the second half and fell to Incheon-ET Land, 75-60, in Day 2 of the Asia League Summer Super 8 tournament at the Macao East Asia Games Dome in Macau on Wednesday.

The Road Warriors were actually in the thick of things in the first half and appeared to have weathered an early third quarter storm by the Elephants from long range after drawing to within three, 45-48, with 3:02 minutes remaining in the period.

However, Incheon pulled away from thereon, even opening a lead as high as 23, 75-52, late in the third quarter before NLEX ended the game with an 8-0 run for the final tally.

Park Sung-Jin went 4-for-5 from the field for 14 points, three rebounds, one assist, and one steal for the Elephants, who are now 2-0 in Group A.

Park Bong-Jin added 12 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, and one block, while Kim Nak-Hyeon came close to a triple-double with nine points, eight assists, and seven rebounds alongside two steals.
