‘Party drugs’ dealer nabbed in San Juan

MANILA — Police authorities have arrested a party drugs supplier in San Juan on Monday.

In a statement, San Juan Police acting chief, Senior Supt. Bowenn Joey Masauding reported the arrest of suspect, Ireneo Paraon lll, alias Neo, 40, a resident of No.246 Pasadena, Barangay Pasadena, San Juan.

Paraon, who is listed in the city’s drug watchlist, was arrested in a buy-bust operation along F. Santos corner N. Domingo Street, Barangay Ermitano at around 7:20 p.m. Monday.

Paraon arrived on board a Yamaha motorcycle model 2018 without plate number, and handed one transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu in exchange for PHP500 marked money to a policeman who posed as buyer.

Operatives found three pieces transparent plastic sachets containing suspected party drugs (Ecstasy tablets ) placed in the compartment of his motorcycle.

Police said the suspect was about to deliver party drugs to some customers at a club in Quezon City after his drug transaction in San Juan City. The suspect, however, refused to name the source of the Ecstasy pills.

Paraon is currently detained at San Juan Police detention and will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Benjamin Pulta/PNA)
