San Pablo City gets new police chief

SAN PABLO CITY, Laguna — Supt. Eliseo V. Bernales is the new chief of police of this city, following formal turn-over rites at the City Barangay Training Center on Tuesday.

Laguna provincial police director Senior Supt. Kirby John B. Kraft led the turn-over ceremony of the city’s police command, with Bernales replacing Supt. Danilo G. Mendoza.

Bernales is the third police official to assume as city’s police chief for this year after Mendoza, who will be assigned at the Police Regional Office (PRO4-A) Calabarzon headquarters in Camp Gen. Vicente Lim in Calamba City.

A member of the Philippine National Police Academy “Sinag-Laya” Class 2002, Bernales served as chief of police of Sta. Cruz, Laguna for 14 months prior to his new post.

Witnessing the occasion were Department of the Interior and Local Government -City Local Government Operations Officer Michelle Mariano-Garcia, Councilors Arnel C. Ticzon, Napoleon Calatraba, and Karla Monica C. Adajar, chairperson of the City Police Advisory Council
