Top performing police stations in NegOcc recognized

BACOLOD CITY — The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office recognized the top performing police stations for the month of July in a ceremony held at the headquarters’ parade grounds here on Monday.

The awardees, which recorded outstanding performance in various anti-crime campaigns, received plaques of recognition from Senior Supt. Rodolfo Castil Jr., police provincial director, and guest of honor Wilfred Ramon Peñalosa, head of Provincial Environment Management Office.

The San Carlos City Police Station was the top awardee as it was named top performing city police station, both in the campaign against illegal drugs and against wanted persons.

The Hinoba-an Municipal Police Station was awarded top performing municipal police station in the campaign against wanted persons.

The top performers in the campaign against illegal gambling were the Silay City Police Station and Binalbagan Municipal Police Station.

In the campaign against loose firearms, both the Kabankalan City Police Station and the Hinigaran Municipal Police Station were awarded as top performing stations.

The municipal police stations of Valladolid and Hinigaran were recognized for the commendable acts of its men.
Senior Police Officer 2 (SPO2) Brayan Tamon and non-uniformed personnel Ronald Navoa received certificates of recognition.

The Pagkilala Award were bestowed by the provincial police to the Task Force Ilahas, the environment enforcement unit of the provincial government, and the Task Force Lawod, the provincial inter-agency fishery law enforcement team.

Three retirees, including SPO1 Raul Guavez of Bago City Police Station, SPO3 Joel Camarines of Kabankalan CPS, and SPO4 Nelson Vargas of Pulupandan Municipal Police Station were also recognized. (Nanette Guadalquiver/PNA)
