Alaska keeps ROS winless after Q4 blast

MANILA — A fourth quarter blitz helped Alaska Aces get past Rain Or Shine Elasto Painters, 106-89, in their PBA Governors’ Cup battle at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Wednesday night.

After engaging in a close encounter with the Elasto Painters, the Aces blasted off in the final frame, outscoring the E-Painters, 31-12, to turn the match into a rout.

Mike Harris erupted for 39 points, 25 rebounds, two assists, and one block for Alaska, which tied with Blackwater in the third place at 4-1, a half-game behind joint leaders Ginebra and Magnolia.

Chris Banchero, Simon Enciso, and Vic Manuel each added 16 points.

Beau Belga led ROS, which remained winless after three outings, with 20 points, two rebounds, five assists, and one steal.
