Abra hit anew by 5.4-magnitude quake

A magnitude 5.4 earthquake jolted Abra province on Wednesday afternoon, July 27, hours after the 7.0-magnitude major earthquake hit Tayum town in the province and several Luzon areas. 

The tectonic quake struck four kilometers southwest of Bucay town at 3:48 p.m., with a depth of 10 kilometers.

No damages and aftershocks are expected, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology. AG– gb
