AFP distributes aids in typhoon-affected residents in Cagayan

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and other government agencies joined forces with the local Social Welfare Development Office in distributing aid to the affected residents of Tropical Depression Maymay and Typhoon Neneng in Cagayan.

The Philippine Army’s 77th Infantry Battalion, along with other government agencies, have distributed a total of 370 food packs from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in several barangays in Cagayan.

Reservist volunteers of the 201st Cagayan Community Defense Center assisted in transporting food packs in Appari, while the Marine Battalion Landing Team 10 conducted rescue operations in Santa Ana, Cagayan.

The AFP deployed disaster response units in the areas affected by Tropical Depression Maymay and Typhoon Neneng, as well as air and naval assets that were on standby for aerial assessment, transport, and evacuation operations. – gb
