ASEAN combats fake news

The Senior Officials Meeting for Responsible Information in Bohol featured the respective insights of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)-member countries with respect to information dissemination. The agenda on fake news was consummated, where the respective measures employed by the different information ministries in the region were discussed.

With regard to the anti-fake news campaign in the Philippines, the Presidential Communications Operations Office highlights its efforts on the matter, which include the following: Youth for Truth Caravan, #cyberready campaign, and Dismiss Disinformation program.
