Aurora police units, personnel recognized

BALER, Aurora – The Aurora Police Provincial Office (APPO) has honored deserving police units and personnel in this province for their exemplary dedication to duty and efficient performance as law enforcers.

“Selected police personnel and units with outstanding performance in administration and operations were cited as a reward for the services they have rendered,” said Senior Supt. Jonas T. Amparo, APPO director, during a simple ceremony held at the APPO National Headquarters in Camp Victor Ravina, Barangay Sabang here Monday.

The awarding was part of the 117th Police Service Anniversary celebration, which had the theme, “Pagbabago sa Hanay ng Pulisya, Hatid ay Ligtas na Pamayanan Laban sa Korupsyon, Krimen at Iligal na Droga.”

Amparo said that non-governmental organizations, private stakeholders and other support units were also recognized for their support to the APPO.

The police unit awardees were the Casiguran Municipal Police for having the highest number of arrested drug personalities and the highest number of drug-cleared and -free barangays; San Luis Municipal Police for having the highest number of apprehensions through municipal ordinances; Dingalan Municipal Police for having the highest number of arrested most wanted persons;

Baler Municipal Police for having the highest number of positive operation against illegal drugs and the highest percentage in crime solution efficiency; Maria Aurora Police for having the highest number of Tokhang activities conducted upon the resumption of the anti-illegal drug campaign; Dinalungan Municipal Police for having the lowest recorded crime rate;

Dilasag Municipal Police for exemplary accomplishment in the solution of sensational criminal cases; 2nd Aurora Provincial Mobile Force Company for having the highest number of positive operation against illegal logging and most number of minor and major combat operation; and the 1st Aurora Provincial Mobile Force Company for having the most number of participation in national competitions, training and career advancement.

The individual awardees were Senior Insp. Donnafe M. Galban, action officer of the Provincial Police Strategy Management Unit as Best Police Commissioned Officer (PCO) for administration; Supt. Reynante D. Pitpitan, chief of Police Community Relations Aurora branch, as best PCO for operation; SPO2 Marnelly R. Amatorio as Best Police Non-Commissioned Officer (PNCO) for administration; SPO2 Bernadeth R Leanderas as Best senior PNCO for operation, provincial and regional level.

SPO4 Leo C. Teneza received a special award for best commendable act performed.

Non-uniformed personnel Arse Jess C Friginal also received a special award for his active participation in training and seminar.

Dangerous Drugs Board Executive Director, Undersecretary Earl Saavedra, who was guest-of-honor during the event, lauded the accomplishments of APPO in its anti-illegal drug and anti-criminality campaigns.

Amparo said the police will continue to wage their relentless fight against illegal drugs until the province becomes drug-free.

“We are mandated to follow the marching order of President Rodrigo Duterte to eliminate drugs. Our police force continues its intensified campaign to put lawless elements and wanted persons in jail, as well as maximize efforts to eradicate all forms of lawlessness in this province,” he added. (Jason De Asis/PNA)
