BI building in Intramuros closed for disinfection until Thursday

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) in Intramuros, Manila will remain closed until tomorrow, July 30.

Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente said the rapid testing for nearly 700 personnel stationed in its main office has not yet been completed. Disinfection and sanitation measures will also be conducted in the four-storey BI building.

The bureau assured it will continue to provide service through its online transaction and through satellite and extension offices in Metro Manila located in SM Aura and at the PEZA Building in Taguig, SM North in Quezon City, and BOI Building in Makati.

The BI earlier suspended operations in its main office after three of its employees tested positive for COVID-19.
